At the Swedish School in London, we offer our students a first-class Swedish education while taking inspiration from our cultural and geographical context in the global metropolis and melting pot that is London.
Our school was founded in 1907 as part of the Swedish Church in London and has since supported Swedish families, industries, and businesses, serving as an important bridge between Sweden and the UK. It is also a place where families with Swedish connections who live permanently in London choose to educate their children, keeping the door open for further education and university studies in Britain, Sweden, and elsewhere. Today, about half of our families are mixed families who embrace their Swedish heritage while also living in a British context.
Our values – respect, kindness, and empathy – are central to everything we do. As a school, we are not only providing our students with an excellent academic education but also equipping them with the skills to become independent and confident individuals who have the courage to pursue their dreams, whatever career path they choose.
What unites our alumni is that they are entrepreneurial, authentic, and secure in themselves. As a small school, our students go on to achieve great things in life, and we are very proud to have played a part in their journey.
Our friendly, inclusive, and diverse school community is something truly precious and special. We would be delighted to welcome you for a tour of the school so that you can experience our unique environment first-hand.
