For more than a century, The Swedish School in London has supported Swedish families, industries, and businesses, serving as an important bridge between Sweden and the UK. As a registered charity, we are not-for-profit and aim to keep fees low to ensure accessibility for all students.

Exciting transformation

Our Barnes campus, originally opened in 1976, is now undergoing an exciting transformation to prepare our facilities for the next 50 years.

In 2025, we unveiled our new science lab and our refurbished reception area, made possible thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.

We are currently fundraising for our art room, library, and PE hall—vital spaces that will further enrich our students’ learning experience.

Edward Pennock

Marketing & Fundraising

Edward had worked for over twenty years in the international insurance industry, managing teams in London and Europe. He brings with him strong skills in relationship management, strategy and leadership. He is English, married to a Swedish wife, and has two boys at the school. Edward hopes to bring his perspective and experience as a Brit in the Swedish system and encourage others to support this great school.
